About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic team members to join the HSS team at our South Flank site within Western Australia Iron Ore (WAIO). This is a permanent position, working an 8:6 / 7:7 day and night shift roster, fly in fly out (FIFO) from Perth.

Provide primary care to sick and injured personnel in a clinical environment and oversee day to day medical centre operations

Respond to mine site emergencies, including fire, rescue, and medical incidents.

Adhering to BHP clinical standards, accurately completing documentation, and applying the correct clinical treatment pathway for best patient outcome.

Plan and deliver training sessions, knowledge sharing and scenario-based activities for volunteer Emergency Response Team member’s and other staff.

Commit to ongoing development of emergency management and clinical skills and qualifications to maintain competencies and Scope of Clinical Practice.

Provision of Clinical education, training and assessment, Learning Management System compliance and administration efficiency, Clinical Governance requirements (Audits, compliance checks, investigations)

Clinical mentoring and support of colleagues.
About You
This role will suit a highly capable team player who is motivated to collaborate with site and HSS teams to ensure that everyone goes home safe, every day, to do the things they love.
Teamwork is critical to our success and you will be required to provide leadership and mentoring to other team members as well as Emergency Service Volunteers in both clinical training and emergency response scenarios.
You will also have:

AHPRA Registration (Paramedic or RN) – current with no conditions or restrictions which would impact SOCP attainment and practice

Must meet the requirements to achieve and maintain approved SOCP at Paramedic or RN level within BHP WAIO operations.

Certificate III in Emergency Response and Rescue, or Public Safety or equivalent / higher is a must.

HR class driver’s license
-
Rescue experience in firefighting, on-road ambulance, defence forces or other emergency services.
- Excellent communication skills and interaction experience with personnel, patients, or customer service.
