About the Role

 

Our Minerals Australia Projects (MAP) team create and maximise value for BHP’s Assets, by developing and safely delivering capital projects for our Assets. In order to ensure the safe, efficient and timely execution of these projects, we require a number of Construction Supervisors to help manage our upcoming portfolio of projects.


These roles supported by the broader MAP team will be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient and timely execution of the project construction work where you could be working on a variety of different construction projects and teams.
 

In these roles you will be supported to learn and grow in your role by the broader MAP team, collaborating with experts and teams across the business to ensure you are creating a safe and engaging working environment, continually improving all whist applying best practice construction strategies, standards and frameworks effectively to your work.

 


In this position, you will make an impact by:

 


•    Defining project objectives and schedules, identifying critical activities, monitoring project plans and schedules and driving continuous improvement initiatives 
•    Managing project performance to ensure delivery aligns with safety standards, budget, and scope.
•    Overseeing contract execution and analysis to maximize operational and financial performance while mitigating exposure and risk.
•    Reviewing performance daily, weekly, and monthly, identifying reasons for variance and determining actions to deliver the project schedule.
•    Developing integrated project deliverables and managing successful execution through effective stakeholder engagement.

 

 

About You
 

 

Our Construction Supervisors come from a variety of different project execution backgrounds. You might currently be working in a similar role with our competitors, or you could be working across construction projects within a different industry, 


You must be focused on making sure your team get home safely every day and comfortable building a continuous improvement culture both with your work and your team. 


Your previous project execution experience will be instrumental in helping you to succeed in this role and will need to have experience with construction processes, safety standards and regulations but you do not necessarily professionally qualified as we also value hands on site experience.

Location

 


We have a variety of 8/6 roster options across different locations, including FIFO, DIDO, and residential arrangements. Whether you prefer to fly in from Adelaide, Brisbane or Perth, drive in from nearby towns like Mackay or Emerald, or settle in residential areas such as Roxby Downs or Moranbah, we have several roles with different options available.
