About BHP

At BHP, we believe our purpose goes beyond mining: we work to improve lives and create a more sustainable future. We are a global resources company with operations in more than 90 locations worldwide.

In Canada, our presence is growing with the development of one of the most significant potash projects in the world; Jansen. This project reflects our long-term commitment to sustainability, community engagement, and economic growth.

About Potash and the Jansen Project

Imagine being part of something truly world-class, something that’s shaping the future of sustainable agriculture and responsible resource development. That’s what the Jansen Potash Project offers.

Located about 140 kilometers east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Jansen is set to become one of the world’s largest potash mines. With a US$15.3 billion investment, it marks the biggest private investment in Saskatchewan’s history, and a bold step forward for BHP in Canada.

But Jansen is more than a mine; it’s a long-term opportunity to build something meaningful. During construction, it will create around 5,500 jobs and once operations are fully ramped up, 900 permanent roles. Whether you're looking to grow your career, contribute to a sustainable future, or be part of a legacy project, Jansen could be the place where it all begins.

Why BHP?

At BHP, we are transforming the way mining is done. We embrace innovation, sustainability, and inclusion to build a smarter, safer, and more human future.

We are proud to be recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2026, a testament to our dedication to fostering a positive, diverse, and rewarding work environment. At BHP, you’ll be part of a team that values safety, integrity, performance, and collaboration.

Work Location

This position will be based in Saskatoon, SK and will require regular travel to the Jansen Mine Site with overnight stays at times. The associated work schedule will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working (flexible, shared workstations and a combination of office and work from home) is standard for BHP.

BHP offers domestic relocation assistance to support the successful incumbent in transitioning, if required. Benefits offered as part of the relocation program include (but are not limited to) new home purchase assistance, temporary accommodations, home finding trip and a resettlement allowance.

About the BHP Operating System (BOS)

The Global BHP Operating System defines a set of principles, practices and behaviours that make improvement a part of what we do every day at BHP. It allows us to align around our Purpose, our Charter Values and our Operating Model, providing us with guiding principles for decision making, so that we can become a truly great company. Our goal is to create a way of working that makes improvement central to everyone's role and allows people to work on the system, not just in it.
