About the Role
The BHP Operating System (BOS) is a global programme that focuses on continuous improvement and transformation through an empowered culture to build a better BHP.
This role will be focused on a number of aspects in sustaining the BHP Operating System as well as delivering key improvement initiatives within the Olympic Dam Surface team.

Reporting to the Surface Maintenance Manager, you will lead a team of continuous improvement specialists as you work as one team to seek new solutions; have discipline around routines and standards; combined with a data-driven improvement mindset. In this role you will have the opportunity to seek better ways not only for Olympic Dam but also enable you to collaborate and drive continuous improvement across Copper SA.
This role is offered as a 5/2, 4/3 FIFO role ex-Adelaide or residing residentially in Roxby Downs.
Your key deliverables are:
- Continue to guide and work with relevant stakeholders to build, test and deploy practical solutions to improve work methods (i.e. tooling).
- Collaboratively problem solve, or facilitate and support problem solving sessions with the frontline to identify the root cause of problems.
- Assist and manage the improvement pipeline and capture improvements in our online portfolio.
- Coach and support the frontline on implementing Standardise work (SW) and BOS tools and routines through role modelling, knowledge sharing, and training.
- Analyse, report and presentation of data to drive the continuous improvement pipeline.
About You
As a Continuous Improvement Lead, you demonstrate:
- The ability to lead a team, communicate efficiently and effectively
- The ability to effectively identify opportunities to increase value and eliminate hazards, waste and variability
- Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative approach to finding practical solutions
- Ability to engage with all levels of the business from frontline employees to site leadership
- Fast learning in an agile fast-paced environment
- Analytical abilities and proficiency with excel highly regarded
