About the Role
BMA is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Contracts Advisor to join our Central Contracts Team (CCT) in Brisbane. This role plays a key part in supporting Contract Specialists with the practical ownership of on-site services engagements and ensuring compliance with the Contractor Management Framework.
You’ll be a central point of coordination between BMA, our contract partners, and their workforce—including subcontractors—ensuring smooth administration and governance of contracts across our assets.
Key Responsibilities
• Support Contract Specialists in executing contract and contractor management frameworks.
• Maintain accurate records, gather data, and report on contractor performance against KPIs.
• Manage the central team inbox and distribution lists for communications.
• Provide essential support to nominated Specialists and the Superintendent of Central Contracts.
• Facilitate meetings with internal and external stakeholders to drive contractual compliance.
• Champion inclusion and diversity within the team and contribute to reporting and analysis.
• Participate in field leadership activities including audits and task observations.
• Administer the team’s BHP VIVA newsfeed to promote the CCT brand.
• Develop ad-hoc Excel templates and dashboards to support reporting and analysis.
About You
• Demonstrated experience in contracts administration or a similar role.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
• Highly developed interpersonal, written, and verbal communication abilities.
• Excellent organisational and multitasking skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project); SAP and CMS experience preferred.
• Understanding of the Queensland Mining Act and Regulation is desirable.
