About the Role
Reporting to the Superintendent Bussing Logistics, the Bussing Coordinator ensures safe transport of coal mine workers between village accommodation, mine sites and local communities.
This role is responsible for the coordination and management of the bussing contract and works in close collaboration with multiple site stakeholders.
This role is based in the Moranbah Township on a 7:7 roster dayshift only and we will provide flexible travel arrangements for the right candidate.
In this role you will:
- Coordinate and manage the bussing contract including implementation of new services, timetabling, disruption management (breakdown and flight delays).
- Complete on call requirements for disruptions to services outside of normal hours.
- Support the management of a bussing contract, including coaching and mentoring front line bus drivers and contractor management staff.
- Analyse and implement improvements to transport systems, processes, and procedures within the bussing team.
- Provide specialist/functional expertise to leadership on bussing related management systems, processes, practices and controls.
- Have an overriding commitment to health, safety, risk management, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
- Engagement with internal and external stakeholders in the transport of passenger for mine sites minimizing disruption to our customers.
- Accountable for communication of performance, variation, and scheduling to all relevant stakeholders as well as accurate reporting and data analysis.
- Report events using the 1SAP work management process and instigate improvements where the transport department has the primary accountability for controlling the risk.

About You
As a successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Hold an Australian Drivers Licence.
- 2 years of relevant heavy vehicle and or logistics experience (or equivalent in areas such as rail / shipping) (highly desirable).
- Ability to build meaningful partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a small team environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, environment, and community.
- Have a high attention to detail.
- Have high written and verbal communication skills.
- Have a drive to continuously improve.
- Highly competent in the usage of the Microsoft 365 programs (teams, SharePoint, excel, work, PowerPoint, Outlook).
