About Carrapateena
The Carrapateena Team is accountable for delivering value at the Asset in the short, medium and long term, against the needs of all stakeholders. With an immediate and core focus on delivery production outcomes, they have a secondary focus on leading the expansion of the mine by transitioning from a Sub Level Cave to a Block Cave – this will extend the Carrapateena mine life beyond 2039. About the Role
The Coordinator Mine Services is an essential interface in our underground mine providing a key contact point with across our contract partners. Working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment you will support the Superintendent Mine Services and a broad range of departments to an effective and safe delivery to plan.
This role is based at Carrapateena on a 15 days on / 13 days off FIFO roster from Adelaide.
In this role you are responsible for:
- Supporting the implementation of UG Infrastructure and Operational Technology projects.
- Management of contractors (Raisebore and Civil Works) and Electrical / OT Technician crews, ensuring that they are operating in accordance with site safety standards.
- Have a strong field leadership presence ensuring appropriate controls are applied to all hazards and material risks present in each work area through workplace inspections and critical control verification.
- Effective daily and weekly planning and coordination of multiple teams to execute various projects and deliver on schedule milestones.
- Attendance at daily mining meetings and effective communication of compliance to schedule, interactions, priorities, milestones, risks & opportunities.
- Scoping of new projects and, where required, procurement of infrastructure and consumables.
About You
- Demonstrated underground mining experience is essential.
- Project management experience, ideally with delivery of underground infrastructure projects.
- Problem solving and can-do attitude, with well-development communication and influencing skills.
- Proven capability to lead with a proactive, results-oriented and solution focused approach.
- Good understanding of interactions between mining and other site functions such as projects, construction, maintenance and processing.
- Ability to assess risks and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Proven ability to plan and coordinate the activities of multiple teams.
- Adherence to mining laws and safety regulations, and ability to issue directives to workers to ensure adherence to applicable safety standards and regulations.
- The ability to report on daily and weekly compliance to schedule.
- Competency with Microsoft Office suite and exposure to SAP.
- Manual drivers’ licence is required.
