About the Role

 

Reporting to the Superintendent Shutdown Execution, within the Fixed Plant Maintenance team your duties will include:

 

  • Ensure safe cost effective, quality work scopes are being developed for shutdown execution
  • Review shutdown work scopes and schedules to ensure that work orders identify correct parts, resources and durations
  • Attend weekly scope validation meetings with Maintenance Centre of Excellence planners and schedulers to assist with the development of Shutdown schedules
  • Coordinating pre and post-shutdown activities for electrical resources including the development of HV Task specific isolation Lists
  • Ensure that all statutory electrical requirements are met during shutdown execution
  • Coordinating all electrical works during shutdowns and ensuring continuity of supply including switching operations and genset plans
  • Maintaining a high profile in the promotion of safe working conditions and practices to ensure a safe working environment during shutdown preparations and execution
  • Ensuring compliance to the Safety Management Plans during shutdowns
  • Review Shutdown performance and safety KPI’s and communicate these during the shutdown to supervisors and superintendents
  • Liaise with contractors for various activities such a construction, maintenance, earthworks and authorising and approving all Shutdown and Access Permits
  • Conduct and assist with investigation of safety events which occur during shutdowns
  • Identifying and providing input in the continuous improvement of our shutdown process
  • A degree of flexibility around roster is required for this role, as you may be required to work a 4:3 or 8:6 depending on the shutdown schedule

 

About You

 

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:

 

  • Engineering Diploma in or electrical trade qualification is required
  • HV experience essential
  • Demonstrated practical hands on skills in electrical maintenance associated with bulk materials handling equipment
  • Strong knowledge of statutory requirements and Australian Standards
  • Strong communication skills; verbal and written
  • Ability to function effectively when workloads are high
  • Good organisational and coordination skills
  • Minimum of C class manual drivers licence
