We're currently seeking Expressions of Interest from experienced and safety-focused Development Blasting Miners who are looking to join a high-performing underground team and contribute to the future success of Olympic Dam.
About the Role
As a Development Blasting Miner, you'll play a critical role in supporting safe and efficient mine development activities across the underground operation.
Key responsibilities include:
• Supporting safe and efficient mine development activities
• Charging underground development headings
• Installing and retrieving Blast PED units
• Maintaining compliance with explosives handling procedures and site standards
• Supporting operational requirements through relief coverage in other positions as required
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
• Demonstrating strong safety leadership and teamwork

About You
We're looking for someone who is committed to safety, works well in a team environment and takes pride in delivering quality outcomes.
You'll bring:
• A strong commitment to personal and team safety
• The confidence to speak up and challenge unsafe behaviours
• A positive and collaborative approach to work
• Strong organisational and planning skills
• The ability to follow procedures and maintain compliance standards
• A current Australian Driver's Licence with manual driving capability
• A current Blaster's Licence or the ability to obtain one
Essential Experience
• Minimum 3 years' underground hard rock mining experience
• Experience in mine development activities
• Experience handling and charging explosives underground
• Strong understanding of underground mining operations and mine services
• Proven ability to work safely in a production-focused environment
