About the Role
 

Broadmeadow is pleased to offer leadership development opportunities as a Development Supervisor.

 

In this position, reporting to the Manager Production, you will undertake the RII40420 Certificate IV in Underground Coal Operations and work towards achieving your Certificate of Competency, preparing you for authorisation as a Deputy in Underground Coal Mines.

 

All statutory, training, and practical experience will be delivered on site and supported through:

  • Mentoring from experienced leaders
  • Structured study plans
  • Hands‑on workplace exposure across key operational areas

 

Spanning across 24 months, this is a unique opportunity to develop your technical capability, build leadership skills, and progress your career in underground coal operations.

 

These positions will work either 5/2 or 7/7 day/night rotating roster and will offer either residential or DIDO travel options.
 

About You

 

  • Demonstrated experience working in underground coal
  • Proven experience working in Longwall or Development environments
  • A high level of interpersonal skills, including collaboration and conflict resolution
  • Strong decision making and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and team supervisory skills
  • Understanding of risk management and how it is applied within mining
