About the Role

Join our dynamic Mobile Maintenance team at Newman Operations, situated in the Pilbara Region on the traditional lands of the Nyiyaparli people. As a Heavy Diesel Fitter, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and reliability of our operations, working with both breakdown and planned maintenance teams. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a leading mining company while advancing your career in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Performing preventative and breakdown maintenance on heavy surface mining equipment.
• Diagnosing faults and conducting repairs and servicing of diesel engines and components primarily on CAT 793F Trucks and CAT 785 Watercarts.
• Supporting continuous improvement through procedure updates and root cause analysis.
• Contributing to a safe and collaborative team environment.

About You

• Trade qualified Heavy Diesel Fitter
• Ability to commit to 8 days on, 6 days off, followed by 7 nights on, 7 nights off, with FIFO arrangements from Perth.
• Prior exposure to mining or similar heavy industries is preferred.
• Experience with Caterpillar equipment is desirable.
• Experience in maintaining and diagnosing mobile equipment is highly regarded.
• Team-focused, with a strong commitment to safety in the workplace.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a diverse team.
