About the Role

South Flank is BHP’s newest iron ore mine, and the biggest in 50 years. It expands existing infrastructure at Mining Area C, adding 80 Mtpa of new crushing and screening capacity, an extensive overland conveyor system, expanded stockyards and new train loading facilities to form the Pilbara’s biggest hub. Its brand new mining fleet is the biggest and best in class, and is being progressively converted to autonomous operation, in line with South Flank’s future-facing design.

To hear from our South Flank Team, about why they choose to work at South Flank, watch the video above!! South Flank - a sense of community

South Flank has started transitioning from its previous 2/1 roster to a 8/6/7/7, 12-hour day/night FIFO roster, allowing you more time to enjoy doing what you love. If you are moving from a 2/1 roster, this means an average of 43 more days at home – including every other weekend off! Through this transition we are also looking to retain some crews on the 2/1 roster with the view to move across to the new roster within 12 months - a major benefit of this is an increase in work allowance from 32.5% to 40%.

We are also interested in hearing from you if you are based interstate!! We will work with you on allocating a workable roster to suit you travel needs and fatigue management to align with the FIFO flights from Perth.

As such, South Flank Mining Production teams are seeking experienced individuals to join our world class operation in the following Operator opportunities:

  • Track Dozer Operators – CAT D10/D11
