About the role

 

The Saraji open cut mine is a coal mine located near Dysart in the Central Queensland region of Australia. The mine is located 200 kilometers southwest of Mackay and 60 kilometers southeast of the mining town of Moranbah. The Saraji Coal Mine has coal reserves amounting to 648 million tonnes of coking coal, one of the largest coal reserves in Asia and the world. Coal produced at the Saraji mine is exported to overseas steel makers in India, the Americas, Europe, East Asia and South Asia.

We have upcoming opportunities available at our Saraji mine for Dragline Operators and we are looking to build our pool of talent. These roles will operate on a 3D3N6X Roster within the Production team.

 

Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

 

•    A strong commitment to ensuring a safe and environmentally healthy workplace

•    6 on, 6 off (3D3N6X) Roster

•    Maintaining high standards of safety, equipment serviceability, housekeeping and compliance for mine working procedures

•    Working cooperatively within a team to achieve safe production targets

About You

 

The successful candidates will have minimum of 2 years Dragline Operating experience: 

 

•    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on teamwork

•    A proven ability to meet production targets

•    Current Dragline Operating experience with 2 years of open-cut mining experience essential

•    A current RII Competency in conducting Dragline and Dozer operations

•    Minimum ‘C’ Class Driver’s license

•    Competency in the following will be of advantage: D10/D11 Dozers, Graders

•    Additional competencies in operating Support Equipment (Cable Reeler, Cable Tractor and Grader) desirable.
