About the Role: 

 

BHP Operations Services Production team currently operates across various locations within Australia.

Operations Services Production is currently recruiting for multi-skilled Operators to work with our team at Nickel West, Camelot Deployment. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, working in a fast paced open cut environment, this role allows the ability to apply your knowledge and be a part of a small team across numerous areas such as production and drill & blast.

 

Your key deliverables include:

 

  • Demonstrated experience on Epiroc D65 Drill; 
  • Production, batter and pre-split drilling;
  • Knowledge of high precision GPS for drilling;
  • Ability to assist in blasting and production tasks;
  • Ability to operate various mobile equipment to support the production team.

 

And has demonstrated experience in one or more of the below or like machines;

 

  • Excavator – Komatsu 2000
  • Dozer - CAT D10T
  • Loader – WA 900
  • Loader – CAT 962
  • Grader – CAT 16M
  • Haul Truck/Water truck – Cat 785

 

 

About you:

 

As the successful candidate you will possess the following:

 

  • WA shotfirer ticket or interstate equivalent desirable but not required;
  • Confident in operating any of the equipment listed;  
  • A safe operator who is both dedicated and enthusiastic about your job;
  • A strong desire to learn and to develop a range of new skills and equipment;
  • Able to work to deadlines and remain effective under pressure;
  • A teamwork mentality to achieve results;
  • Effective listener with well-developed interpersonal skills;
  • Competent and possess comprehensive reading and writing skills
  • Quarry, small mine or civil operators are encouraged to apply.
