About the role
We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest from motivated and capable employees interested in a 6-month secondment opportunity as Accommodation Coordinator within the BMA People Logistics Team (I&S).
The Accommodation Coordinator is responsible for managing accommodation requirements across the Bowen Basin portfolio, ensuring efficient utilisation of resources, accurate forecasting, reporting, and stakeholder engagement to support operational requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating accommodation allocations within the availability across the portfolio.
- Monitoring utilisation and providing reporting and analysis to support business decisions.
- Liaising with accommodation providers, operational stakeholders, contractors, and service providers to ensure accommodation requirements are met.
- Identifying and implementing opportunities for process improvement and cost optimisation.
- Supporting accommodation planning activities across People Logistics and operational stakeholder groups and maintaining accurate accommodation data and forecasts.
- Managing accommodation-related issues and facilitating timely resolution.
- Building strong working relationships across internal and external stakeholder groups.
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication capabilities.
- Experience using Excel and data analysis tools.
- High attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- A commitment to safety, customer service, and continuous improvement.
- The ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Experience in accommodation, logistics, workforce planning, or a related field will be highly regarded.
This role is based in Brisbane/Moranbah and may require travel to site from time to time.
