About the Role
We are seeking an EQuIS Environmental Data Manager to lead and optimize our environmental data workflows within the Legacy Assets or relevant business unit. The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert in EarthSoft’s EQuIS suite—particularly EQuIS Collect, Sample Planning Module (SPM), Enterprise Data Processor (EDP), Professional and configuring of EIAs (Environmental Information Agents)—and will have a strong understanding of environmental monitoring (e.g., water, soil, air sampling) and data management best practices. This role will champion best-in-class data governance, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the broader environmental monitoring objectives across our operations.
EQuIS Administration & Module Expertise
• EQuIS Collect: Set up and maintain mobile data collection forms, workflows, and user permissions.
• Sample Planning Module (SPM): Configure and manage SPM to schedule and track sampling events across multiple sites. Ensure that sampling plans align with regulatory requirements and internal QA/QC standards.
• Enterprise Data Processor (EDP): Use EDP to automate data validation, transformation, and loading processes. Develop and maintain EDP rule sets that enhance data quality and streamline data imports from labs or field systems.
• Configuring EIA (Environmental Information Agent): Leverage EIA to automate notifications, alerts, and data-driven workflows. Set up customized triggers for threshold exceedances, data validation failures, or critical compliance milestones.
Data Quality & Governance
• Oversee data imports, validation, and QA/QC protocols for all environmental datasets (e.g., water, soil, air, geotechnical).
• Develop and enforce data governance policies, ensuring compliance with internal standards and external regulatory requirements.
• Maintain system documentation, version control, and audit trails for all EQuIS modules (Collect, SPM, EDP, EIA).
Environmental Monitoring & Reporting
• Collaborate with field teams, laboratories, internal teams, and external stakeholders to streamline data collection, verification, and reporting.
• Generate standardized EQuIS-based reports, dashboards, and analytics to inform decision-making and regulatory submissions.
• Participate in integrating EQuIS data outputs with other analytical platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Power BI) for cross-functional insights.
• Identify opportunities to enhance data workflows, improve data accuracy, and reduce costs associated with environmental monitoring.
• Drive best practices for EQuIS configuration and usage, including system customization or module upgrades.
Training & Stakeholder Engagement
• Provide hands-on training and support for internal EQuIS users, including field technicians, data analysts, and project managers.
• Serve as a liaison between technical teams and non-technical stakeholders, translating complex EQuIS configurations into actionable insights.
Regulatory & Compliance Adherence
• Stay current with relevant environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, state/provincial requirements) to ensure EQuIS processes and data outputs meet or exceed compliance standards.
• Coordinate audits and compliance checks with internal and external bodies as needed
• Manage sensitive data in accordance with corporate cybersecurity and data privacy protocols.
About You
To be a top performer you will need:
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Environmental Science, Engineering, Data Management, or a related field.
• Demonstrated proficiency in EQuIS Collect (mobile form design, deployment, user management).
• In-depth experience configuring EQuIS Sample Planning Module (SPM) for large-scale sampling efforts.
• Practical knowledge of Enterprise Data Processor (EDP) and EQuIS Professional to automate data validation and imports.
• Ability to set up and maintain EIA (Environmental Information Agent) for automated alerts, notifications, and system triggers.
• Familiarity with SQL databases, data integration, and data quality assurance method is a plus.
• Experience with analytics tools (e.g., Snowflake, Power BI) is a plus.
