About the Role

 

Caval Ridge Mine is located in Queensland’s Bowen Basin on the traditional lands of the Barada Barna people.

 

Reporting to the Superintendent Field and Infrastructure Maintenance, you will play a key role in supporting the maintenance of our Dragline fleet, Shovels, and fixed electrical infrastructure at Caval Ridge. As the Electrical Maintenance Coordinator, your responsibilities will include (but are not limited to):

 

  • Planning, monitoring, and reporting on equipment maintenance activities
  • Scheduling and developing personnel
  • Assisting with outage planning and execution

 

In this role, you will demonstrate a strong commitment to continuous improvement by supporting the Supervisory team in their day-to-day tasks. This includes ensuring optimal utilisation of resources through effective management of labour and materials.

 

This position offers Fly-in Fly-out (FIFO) from Brisbane or Drive-in Drive-out (DIDO) options. The roster will be Monday to Thursday onsite.

About You

 

To be successful in this role you will have the following:

 

  • A current equivalent Queensland Manual Driver’s Licence;
  • Current QLD Electrical Fitter/Mechanic License;
  • Prior Electrical Supervisory experience;
  • Sound experience with maintenance of Draglines and Shovels including DC rotating equipment, PLC systems and communications.
  • High Voltage Switching Operation Qualification;
  • Excellent understanding of AS3000, AS3008, AS3017;
  • Sound knowledge of Statutory compliance – Qld Coal Mining Safety and Health Act and Regulations;
  • Strong communication skills and a track record of achieving results through using your influence.
  • The ability to successfully lead and work within a team environment and build effective working relationships across multiple trades and departments.
  • Electrical Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering or Bachelor of Electrical Engineering highly desirable.
  • Cert IIV and IV in Instrumentation and Control highly desirable.
  • Dragline and Shovel reliability engineering experience highly desirable.
