About the Role
As the Electrical Technician, you will be responsible to undertake day-to-day preventative and breakdown maintenance & operations of FIFO camp electrical assets, residential dwellings, as well as a 33KV/415V Overhead powerline corridor. The location of this role is based in Leinster.
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor NPI, your role will include but not limited to.
- Undertaking preventative maintenance inspections in accordance with maintenance planning systems and recommending appropriate follow-up action.
- Statutory inspections and testing on village assets.
- Kitchen equipment preventative maintenance and repairs
- Village rooms & laundry's maintenance repairs.
- General duties as prescribed by the maintenance supervisor
- Carrying out commissioning, fault finding and repair work within the whole of job scope, including pre-work, preparation for maintenance and shutdowns.
- Undertaking training and upskilling as required.
- Writing and performing High Voltage switching programmes.
- Assist with Airport Duties as required of an ARO.
About You
As the successful candidate you will possess the following:
- Overriding commitment to safety and continuous improvement
- Flexible, team orientated approach with strong communication skills
- Australian C class driver’s license
- Trade certificate Cert III electrotechnology, WA electrical workers license
- High Voltage ticket
- EWP, working at heights certificates (desirable)
- Experience with statutory compliance requirements for Energy Safety, and Mines Act.
- Sound experience with commercial kitchen equipment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- FIFO camp maintenance and operation background (highly desirable).
- 1SAP and FIORI experience (highly Desirable)
- Computer skills in Word, Excel, Power point, Adobe. (Desirable)
