About the Role


We are seeking qualified candidates for an Electrical Maintenance Technician vacancy. Working within the Maintenance team you will be carrying out preventive maintenance, repair work and attending to breakdowns as required.

At Goonyella we have two wash plants, and there may occasions where you will be working across each of these plants at different times.

Based at Goonyella, dayshift on a lifestyle roster.


In addition to an overriding commitment to safety, in this role you will be required to:
 

  • Inspect, diagnose, service and repair a wide range of electrical equipment;
  • Attend to equipment breakdowns;
  • Conduct overhaul and assembly of equipment;
  • Utilise computerised maintenance management systems (SAP);
  • Maintain a high level of housekeeping, both in the field and workshop areas;
  • Undertake training and upskilling as required, including High Voltage authorisation;
  • Provide shift relief coverage;
  • Provide support with onboarding & training of electrical personnel.

About You


As the successful candidate you will possess the following:
 

  • Relevant Electrical Trade Qualification (essential);
  • Previous experience working in fixed plant maintenance (preferred but not essential);
  • High level of computer literacy and experience in 1SAP or similar applications;
  • Current full C Class Drivers Licence;
  • Flexible, team-orientated approach with proactive communications skills.
