About the Role

 

Reporting to the Superintendent Rail GTS Track and Signals you will be responsible for providing solutions, expert guidance and technical support in the Railroad department specifically in Track and Civil discipline.

 

You will support, improve and govern Rail standards across a broad range of areas in addition to ensuring all modifications are managed through change management process and projects commissioned without safety or unplanned business impacts.

 

Additional responsibilities include:
 

  • Review and approve engineering methodologies
  • Undertake design engineering including provision of calculations
  • Provide on-site support for maintenance activities
  • Provide coaching, mentoring to junior team members
  • Provide engineering support and diagnostics in breakdowns
  • Participation in Root Cause Analysis/Investigations and improvement implementation
  • Build excellent working relationship with key stakeholders
  • Monitors compliance to minimum technical standards in respect to civil assets

 
The role can be Perth based or FIFO (5/2/4/3) with flexible work options available.

About You

 

As the successful candidate, you will have a tertiary education background in Civil Engineering with previous experience working on industry sites with Rail design experience preferred.
 

 

As well as your strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will have demonstrated ability to build relationships across departments and able to communicate at all levels.  You will also be a performance and achievement oriented professional, who is motivated by exceeding expectations and providing excellent results.
