About the Role
In this role, you will provide planning support to the Production Superintendents, helping to translate short-term mine plans into safe, achievable, and efficient operational outcomes. Drawing on your mine planning expertise and operational experience, you will play a key role in interrogating weekly and monthly plans, identifying risks and opportunities, and ensuring plans are practical, executable, and productive.
Key deliverables:
- Maintain and support a strong safety culture through field leadership, hazard identification, participation in investigations and compliance reviews.
- Identifying and recommending solutions around enabling activities to support SRF development and compliance.
- Monitor critical path activities, identify schedule risks and constraints, and support delivery of business targets through effective planning and forecasting in Weekly and Monthly horizons.
- Provide plan compliance reporting, identify variance drivers to improve plan quality, reliability and stability.
- Partner with Mine Planning, Operations and Technical teams to ensure successful execution of the plan, review accuracy of surveyed volume and develop improvement initiatives.
About You
- Degree qualified Engineer with demonstrated experience in mine planning, mine scheduling or production engineering roles
- Experience with mining software packages such as Spry, Deswik, Vulcan or similar and genuine proficiency in Excel
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement capability, with the ability to influence across planning, technical and operational teams
- Understanding of the mining value chain, especially between planning and operational execution
- Ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining plan quality and accuracy.
