About the Role

 

We are seeking a talented Mining Professional to join our inclusive and high performing team responsible for providing guidance to the day to day mine operation through our mine planning activities. Including but not limited to 24 hours mine and blend plan generating, product quality management, L&H productivity optimisation and weekly plan reconciliation.

 

Reporting to the Superintendent Mine Production Enablement, the Engineer Scheduling will play an integral role by generating a clear daily mine plan, aligned to the weekly sequence to deliver on spec product for our customer.

About You

 

We have a strong focus on finding people with the right values, leadership capability, collaboration and communication skills. In addition to demonstrated ability to consolidate and evaluate information, you will have commitment to continuous improvement as well as the skills and knowledge to provide critical thinking and a solution-focused attitude.

 

As the successful candidate, you will preferably possess a tertiary qualification in Mining Engineering, other related disciplines such as Engineering and Geoscience, and/or significant mine site experience and proven track record of safety leadership.

 

Desirable skills include:

 

  • Prior exposure in open cut mining
  • Strong communication and relationship management skills
  • Proficiency with Mining software packages (such as Schedman, MTM, Modular or similar)
  • Capability with Root Cause Analysis to implement off-spec product investigations
  • Ability to demonstrate an ability to problem solve in a timely manner
  • Exposure to Grade control & Mine planning
  • Proficient computer skills with Microsoft office (Excel, Power Point, Word, etc.)

Yandi – FIFO – Spinifex Village

 

You will be based at our 'Yandi' mine on a fly-in fly-out 8:6 or flexi roster.  
 

Yandi is located approximately 170kms North of Newman West Australia. The outstanding facilities at the FIFO village include a fully equipped gym, swimming pool, squash, tennis and basketball courts, golf driving range, mini golf, netted cricket pitch, beach volleyball court and recreation room. All rooms at the village have their own ensuite bathroom, television, internet, refrigerator, and air-conditioning.
