About the role
Reporting to the Housing Maintenance Supervisor the Electrical Technician will undertake day-to-day preventative maintenance and repairs of electrical equipment, utilising 1 SAP work management processes and will be actively involved in the maintenance planning process. Our team maintain over 1,000 residential properties as well as around 300 FIFO accommodation units in the township of Newman.
Other responsibilities include:
- Undertake preventative maintenance inspections of plant and equipment;
- Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development;
- Ensure adequate scoping of corrective work to facilitate the planning process;
- Cultivate positive relationships through effective communication and consultation;
- Take a proactive role in maintaining appropriate standards of behaviour;
- Participate within the Housing Department to implement business plans consistent with site strategies/ plans;
- Monitor the Housing Maintenance work plan and elevate unplanned and non-routine activity or performance to the Supervisor;
- Perform all aspects of planned, breakdown and shutdown activities in regard to housing maintenance;
- Carry out system generated on and offline inspections.
About You
Qualifications/Experience
- Trade/certificate in Electrical Discipline
- Valid Australian C class driver’s license
- A Grade Electrical License
- EWP, Forklift, Working at Heights
- Mix of experience in both Domestic work and Mining Operations
