About the Role

 

Are you a highly organised, proactive professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment? Nickel West is seeking an Executive Assistant to provide high-level support to the Vice President. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the smooth running of executive operations while contributing to strategic business initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Provide executive administrative support to the VP, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Proactive diary, travel and email management to enable the efficient organisation and execution of the VP’s daily activities;
  • Organise and coordinate meetings with internal and external groups, including ensuring pre-read documentation is provided.
  • Assist with logistics for Townhalls and Lead Team meetings. Actively identify improvement opportunities and time optimisation solutions to forward plan work
  • Assist with preparation of presentations and other documents , , including collating and interpreting data.
  • Support the VP on projects and assist across business functions including HR, Finance, and HSE.
  • Monthly reconciliation of expenses for the VP
  • Maintain confidential records and manage electronic filing of reports, correspondence, and related material.
  • Provide the Perth based Nickel team leaders and their teams with general administration assistance  including visitor management, access requirements, catering, and  BHP processes and systems.

About You

 

We are looking for a resilient and adaptable professional who can manage ambiguity, shifting priorities, and high-pressure situations with ease. You will have experience in executive-level administration and stakeholder management, ideally within a large organisation.

 

The successful candidate will likely demonstrate:

 

  • Proven experience as an Executive Assistant.
  • Strong business judgement and commitment to high ethical standards aligned with BHP Charter Values.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills – clear, confident, and concise.
  • Significant experience engaging effectively with senior business stakeholders.
  • High professionalism, positive outlook, and performance-driven nature.
  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); SAP experience is desirable.
