Job Profile
The Executive Assistant is a trusted partner to the VP, delivering high‑level executive support through sound judgment, collaborative engagement, and effective time and priority management. This role manages complex administrative responsibilities with accuracy and discretion, anticipates needs, and drives efficiency. The Executive Assistant also contributes to a strong team culture, leadership alignment, and clear communication across internal and external stakeholders.
About the Role
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Represent the VP with a supportive, people-centered approach that builds trust and alignment through clear communication and strong working relationships.
- Manage the executive calendar and coordinate meetings globally across multiple time zones, demonstrating exceptional attention to detail and accuracy across scheduling, meeting logistics, room coordination, and inclusion of required materials and pre‑reads.
- Plan and coordinate complex domestic and international travel, including logistics and detailed itineraries, while considering travel preferences.
- Manage expenses and invoices in accordance with company policies, ensuring accuracy and timely submission
- Draft, edit, and proofread correspondence, presentations, and other materials with a high standard for spelling, grammar, and consistency
- Anticipate executive needs and proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency and overall effectiveness
- Partner with leadership and colleagues to support the Denver office culture, including coordination of internal events and activities
- Work closely with key team members to support team effectiveness, priority alignment, coordination and consistent communication
- Support special projects and ad hoc initiatives
Work Location
This position will be based at BHP’s corporate location in Denver, CO. The associated work schedule will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working (flexible, shared workstations and a combination of office and work from home) is standard for BHP.
Salary Range
$85,000 - $ 106,000
The starting salary will be determined based on relevant experience, education, internal equity, and market considerations.
About You
To be successful in this role you require:
- Completion of post-secondary education, or equivalent knowledge gained through relevant experience
- Proven experience working with senior leaders in fast‑paced, dynamic environments
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and sound judgment
- Strong administrative and organizational skills with a high standard of accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to prioritize effectively, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage across diverse stakeholders at all levels
- Experience in mining, resources, or asset‑intensive industries is a plus
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams
