We are currently seeking Expressions of Interest for a Rail Operations Maintainer – Mechanical - RSM Enabler Maintenance Team.
Reporting to the Rail Operations RSM Shop Supervisor in Newman, this role suits an individual who is highly proactive, able to work autonomously with strong problem-solving skills and have an overriding commitment to safety.
The RSM Enabler – Mechanical role will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault finding and conducting role byes.
Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring behaviour aligns with the BHP Charter Values, the BHP Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations
- An overriding commitment to health, safety and environment within Rail
- Fault finding and troubleshooting to limit downtime and improve the operational effectiveness of the locomotive fleet
- Contribute to high fleet availability through routine maintenance, focused on quality work and a defect elimination mindset
- Assist in identifying and implementing improvements opportunities
- Contributing to an inclusive and diverse culture
- Adherence to Work Management principles and discipline
- Strong commitment to the Field Leadership
About You:
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following skills and experience
- Mechanical trade certificate
- Working knowledge of locomotive Mechanical systems – Highly regarded
- Interpret technical drawings
- Maintenance and fault-finding experience
- Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
- SAP and Fiori maintenance systems
- Ability to problem solve and react to unplanned situations
- Sound time management skills
- Forklift, Dogging, Rigging, HR,
- EWP High Risk Work Licence – desirable
- C class drivers licence
This position will work an 14/14 Roster (7 days / 7 Nights / 14 Days Off) and is a FIFO based position in Newman.
