About the Role
Reporting to the Manager Planning & Reporting, the Finance Business Partner supports the Minerals Americas regional functions, providing financial support and insight in order to improve the functional performance.
This role requires a high level of autonomy and a collaborative approach across a wide range of stakeholders.
Main Accountabilities:
• Works with the Function to collect and process all inputs to 2-Year Budget, quarterly forecasts and month end, focusing on driving performance to benchmarks.
• Leverages systems to prepare efficient and insightful reports for senior stakeholders.
• Critically analyses processes and outputs to identify variability and improvement opportunities.
• Draws on models, systems and tools to ensure an optimal approach in delivering business requests that drive process efficiency and standardisation.
• Works with the Operational finance teams, Global Business Services, and other stakeholders to ensure there is a robust plan for delivery of functional plans.
• Confidently presents ideas, results and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
• Delivers comprehensive data analysis to support value identification.
• Provides critical and accurate financial analysis to support decisions on tactical and strategic business challenge.
About You
The successful candidate should have the following attributes:
- Holds a relevant qualification (Commercial Engineer, Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, etc).
- 3+ Years of relevant work experience at another multinational or large organisation.
- Able to confidently communicate and write business insights in English and Spanish.
-Advanced level of Microsoft Excel.
-Working knowledge of SAP (or other ERP system) and comfortable with large data sets (desirable).
-Focus on continuous improvement, reinforcing the need to challenge the status quo and promoting and driving change initiatives and quick wins with other team members.
-Strong analytical capacity, analysing complex business processes, identifying improvement opportunities and recommending solution options.
-Good stakeholder management, with the ability to navigate in a highly complex, global and dynamic organisation that requires indirect influence.
-Facility to learn and quickly adopt new systems and processes.
-Experience supporting large projects and studies would be well regarding but not necessary.
