About the Role

 

We are seeking a high performing professional to lead the Technical Planning & Reporting (P&R) team, supporting the Technical function across all core planning, forecasting and insights activities. This role plays a critical part in driving functional excellence, strengthening cost discipline, and enabling strategic decision-making across Technical.
 
You will lead a team of Planning & Reporting professionals responsible for delivering high quality planning outputs, including the 2 Year Budget, forecasts, and monthly performance insights. You will also oversee ad hoc analysis and improvement initiatives that support our stakeholders and uplift Technical P&R capability.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

  • Coordinate and execute Technical P&R analytics to improve cost and productivity outcomes.
  • Deliver and manage the corporate alignment planning (CAP) cycle across the entire Technical portfolio including Technology, Digital, Exploration, Innovation, Legacy Assets, and Technical Centres of Excellence.
  • Confidently present ideas, results, and recommendations to stakeholders at varying levels.
  • Manage and guide team members to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Finance, Assets, Functions) to support strategic decision-making.

 

About You

 

  • Strong stakeholder management in a global environment and ability to build effective relationships.
  • Ability to prioritize and work in highly ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
  • Experience in financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Comfortable working across multiple locations and time zones.
  • Advanced data analysis skills (modelling and analytics experience is advantageous).
