About the Role

BHP Operations Services Production team currently operates across various locations within Australia.

Operations Services Production is currently recruiting for Excavators, Dozers, Graders Operators to work with our Nickel West Deployment team. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, working in a fast-paced open cut environment, this role allows the ability to apply your knowledge and be a part of a small team across numerous areas such as production and drill & blast.

We are looking for people with demonstrated mining or civil background with experience in Excavators or Dozers or Graders:

• Excavator Operators – 9200 and 9400 or similar size equipment - You would have experience pulling batters and digging ore blocks. You would preferrable have an understanding of digging drop cuts, double benching and single flitches

• Dozer - CAT D10T2 or similar size equipment - You would be an experienced dozer who is able to maintain tip heads, stockpile management and fand pit maintenance between others key tasks.

• Grader – CAT 16M or similar size equipment - You would preferrable have experience building/maintaining crowns and roads

• A strong desire to learn and to develop a range of new skills and equipment;
• Able to work to deadlines and remain effective under pressure;
• A teamwork mentality to achieve results;
• Effective listener with well-developed interpersonal skills;
• Competent and possess comprehensive reading and writing skills;
• Experienced mining and civil Operators, quarry or small mine operators are encouraged to apply.
