About BHP

At BHP, we believe our purpose goes beyond mining: we work to improve lives and create a more sustainable future. We are a global resources company with operations in more than 90 locations worldwide.

In Canada, our presence is growing with the development of one of the most significant potash projects in the world — Jansen. This project reflects our long‑term commitment to sustainability, community engagement, and economic growth.

About Potash and the Jansen Project

Imagine being part of something truly world‑class, something that’s shaping the future of sustainable agriculture and responsible resource development. That’s what the Jansen Potash Project offers.

Located about 140 kilometres east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Jansen is set to become one of the largest and most sustainable potash mines on the planet. With a CAD$14 billion (US$10.5 billion) investment, it marks the largest private investment in Saskatchewan’s history and a major milestone for BHP in Canada.

Jansen is more than a mine. It’s a long‑term opportunity to build something meaningful. During construction, the project will create approximately 5,500 jobs, and once operational, around 900 permanent roles. If you’re looking to grow your career while contributing to a lasting legacy, Jansen could be the place for you.

Why BHP?

At BHP, we are transforming the way mining is done. We embrace innovation, sustainability, and inclusion to build a smarter, safer, and more human future.

We are proud to be recognised as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2025, reflecting our commitment to a diverse, inclusive, and rewarding workplace. At BHP, you’ll join a team that values safety, integrity, performance, and collaboration.
