At BHP we support our people to grow, learn, develop their skills and reach their potential. About the Role

South Flank is BHP’s newest iron ore mine, and the biggest in 50 years. It expands existing infrastructure at Mining Area C, adding 80 Mtpa of new crushing and screening capacity, an extensive overland conveyor system, expanded stockyards and new train loading facilities to form the Pilbara’s biggest hub. Its brand new mining fleet is the biggest and best in class, and is being progressively converted to autonomous operation, in line with South Flank’s future-facing design, including the market’s latest models of dozers, graders, loaders, excavators, drills and haul trucks.  With a focus on reliability and quality, these field and/or workshop based Heavy Duty Diesel Fitters will deliver world class maintenance and be a key driver in continuously improving and standardising work practices.

South Flank has now transitioned from its previous 2/1 roster to a 8/6/7/7, 12-hour day/night FIFO roster, allowing you more time to enjoy doing what you love. If you are moving from a 2/1 roster, this means an average of 43 more days at home – including every other weekend off!
