About the Role
As an HR Business Partner, you will provide strategic leadership and technical expertise to drive HR initiatives that align with BHP’s long-term business objectives.
You will partner with the senior leader in Malaysia and the Group Business Services (GBS) Leadership Team to shape organizational culture, enhance workforce capability, and manage complex employee and labor relations matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement people-focused organizational frameworks and tools grounded in psychological principles and user-centered design
- Lead and advise on employee and labor relations strategies, including complex case management and external representation
- Make evidence-based, strategic decisions aligned with business goals
- Engage and influence a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
- Deliver compelling presentations and facilitate workshops using storytelling techniques
- Apply deep understanding of BHP’s operating model to enhance decision-making and value chain performance
- Remain point accountable for all Malaysia Country HR issues with oversight of Labor Compliance, Local Benefits and General HR Support being one of the most senior HR leaders in location
- Champion a culture of safety, customer value, and operational excellence

About You
- Proven experience in HR business partnering at a senior level
- Experience in large, complex organizations
- Strong background in organizational development and employee relations
- Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive strategic outcomes
- Familiarity with BHP’s operating model global business services/organisations with matrix reporting structure.
- BOS – Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement by embedding BHP Operating Systems in ways of work to optimize performance and deliverables.
