About the role

As the Head of Architecture, you will be accountable for:  

  • Defining and governing the enterprise architecture framework, including principles, standards, and reference architectures across IT and OT domains.
  • Ensuring consistent application of architecture guardrails across functions, regions, portfolios, and delivery models.
  • Maintaining current state and target state architecture views to inform decision making and investment prioritisation.
  • Guiding architecture decisions to balance standardisation, agility, cost efficiency, and vendor independence.
  • Promoting reuse, automation, and design patterns to accelerate delivery and reduce technical debt.
  • Embedding security, resilience, and risk requirements into all technology architectures by design.
  • Ensuring architectures address confidentiality, integrity, availability, and safety across IT and OT environments.
  • Providing architectural oversight for mission critical and safety critical systems.
  • Defining, publishing and managing the end-to-end lifecycle of global architecture guardrails and artefacts to ensure ongoing relevance and enterprise adoption.  
  • Driving global standardisation of architecture modelling and communication tools, methods, and practices to simplify tooling, enable artefact reuse, and improve consistency of design outcomes.
  • Establishing and embedding fit for purpose architecture governance and “chapter” processes that scale across federated teams and delivery models.  
  • Building strong relationships with executive leadership, Technology leaders, business stakeholders, and regional teams to drive alignment and outcomes.
  • Influencing senior decision making by clearly articulating architectural trade-offs, risks, and value. 


In this role, you can be based in Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane or Melbourne.

About You

You are a highly respected architecture leader with extensive experience shaping and leading enterprise, solution and/or security architecture within large, complex organisations. You bring a proven track record of building and leading high performing architecture teams across multiple domains, geographies and time zones, and are comfortable operating in global, matrixed environments.

You have deep technical credibility and governance experience across a broad technology landscape, including cloud, data, integration, applications, networks, emerging technologies and operational technology. You apply strong architectural judgement to design future ready, scalable and resilient solutions, while ensuring alignment to enterprise standards and strategic outcomes.  Security, resilience and risk management are embedded in your approach to architecture by design. You bring a strong understanding of security and enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, SABSA and NIST, and are experienced in applying these pragmatically to enable business outcomes while effectively managing risk.

Highly strategic and commercially astute, you are able to translate complex technical concepts and architectural trade offs into clear, actionable insights for senior leaders and executives. You are a trusted advisor who influences at the executive level, demonstrates strong people leadership and stakeholder engagement skills, and operates confidently in complex, high impact environments.

A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent is required,  as well as TOGAF or equivalent Architecture certification, and Cloud Architecture certification.
