About the Role
To lead the company's strategic agenda in Brazil focused on two pillars: to ensure the robust and transparent implementation of socio-environmental reparative commitments, while promoting the identification and development of sustainable new business opportunities and partnerships. This position requires an integrated vision between social value, institutional reputation, and long-term growth of the company in the country, aligned with ESG principles and the interests of communities, stakeholders, and shareholders.
Key Accountabilities
Reparation and social value:
- Act as the senior representative of the company in all matters related to the reparation of communities and the relationship with critical stakeholders (government, civil society, institutions)
- Coordinate, supervise, and evaluate social and environmental reparation programs, ensuring integrity, measurable impact, and effective communication of results
- Influence policies and public decisions in an ethical and transparent manner, contributing to the social development and reparation agenda in impacted regions
- Work closely with internal areas and external structures (foundations, committees, regulatory bodies) to ensure coherence and governance of the process
Business development and expansion:
- Identify, evaluate, and lead strategic business opportunities in Brazil that align with the company's goals, in sectors such as sustainable mining, natural resource innovation, and energy transition
- Conduct market analyses, due diligence, and business model construction in partnership with our corporate areas of business development, technical, and finance
- Develop and maintain relationships with potential business partners, institutional stakeholders, and key organizations in the national economic ecosystem
- Represent the company in strategic forums and contribute to the institutional positioning of the company as a relevant player for the future of Brazil
About You
To be a top performer you will need:
- Bachelor degree (or higher) in a commercial or technical relevant discipline
- >15 years working experience in mining industry in Brazil.
- Working experience opening new markets for mining commodity in Brazil.
- >10 years experience engagement key stakeholders from the market.
- Proven ability to operate at the intersection of social impact, stakeholder management, and business growth.
- Deep understanding of the Brazilian socio-political and regulatory landscape, including experience dealing with communities, public institutions, and complex governance environments.
- Fluent in English and Portuguese.
