About the Role

 

The Head of Project Services & Enablers provides strategic, technical, and operational leadership across all functional disciplines within the project portfolio. Reporting directly to the Project Director Enablers.

The role is accountable for ensuring functional excellence, alignment, and integration across major projects, enabling safe, predictable, and capital-efficient project delivery. The Head of Project Services Enablers plays a critical role in establishing standards, building organizational capability, and ensuring each function effectively supports project execution from studies through construction, commissioning, and handover.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Provides strategic leadership and integration across Engineering, COR, PC&A, Safety, Construction, and Projects Commercial to ensure consistent, high-quality project delivery.
  • Partners with Project Managers to align functional support and ensure effective delivery across scope, schedule, cost, risk, safety, and quality objectives.
  • Establishes, governs, and continuously improves functional standards, processes, and performance frameworks aligned with corporate governance and capital stewardship requirements.
  • Ensures functional teams are capable and prepared to support all project lifecycle phases, from studies and engineering through construction, commissioning, and operational handover.
  • Drives cross-functional collaboration and resolves interface challenges to maintain alignment and avoid delivery risks.
  • Develops capability, succession, and workforce plans to ensure critical expertise is available across all functions.
  • Embeds lessons learned, industry best practices, and innovative solutions to improve project performance and capital effectiveness.
  • Provides clear and timely reporting on functional performance, risks, capability, and resourcing requirements to support effective decision-making.
  • Fosters a culture of safety, collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement across all functional teams.

About You

 

You are a highly experienced leader with a proven track record in major capital projects, mining, minerals processing, or heavy industrial environments. You bring a strategic mindset and strong leadership capability, with the ability to integrate diverse technical and project services disciplines to achieve delivery excellence.

You have demonstrated success building high-performing teams, establishing governance and operational excellence frameworks, and enabling projects to be delivered safely, predictably, and efficiently.  

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 20+ years of experience in major capital projects, mining, or heavy industrial environments with increasing leadership responsibility.
  • Significant experience leading multidisciplinary project services, technical, or functional teams.
  • Demonstrated success delivering large-scale EPC/EPCM projects.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, organizational capability, and influencing skills.
  • Preferred Postgraduate qualification in Project Management, Contract Management, Business Administration (MBA), or a related field.
  • Experience in concentrator projects, minerals processing facilities, or similarly complex industrial projects.
