About the Role
We are seeking a visionary and execution-focused leader to join our Technology Core & Function team as the Head of Technology Cloud and Network. This is a pivotal role responsible for shaping and delivering the global strategy for network and hosting infrastructure across our enterprise. You will lead a high-performing team to ensure secure, scalable, and high-availability services that power our digital transformation and operational excellence.
Reporting to the VP Technology Core & Function, you will be accountable for:
- Defining and executing a forward-looking strategy for network and hosting aligned with enterprise-wide digital and operational goals.
- Leading the transformation from legacy infrastructure to a hybrid-cloud and edge-enabled architecture.
- Championing innovation in automation, observability, and network intelligence.
- Overseeing the design, deployment, and lifecycle management of global network and hosting platforms (data centres, WAN/LAN, wireless, cloud).
- Ensuring high performance, availability, and security through proactive monitoring and continuous improvement.
- Establishing and enforcing global standards and configurations for infrastructure.
- Ensuring compliance with cybersecurity, data sovereignty, and operational risk frameworks in collaboration with the Cybersecurity & Architecture team
- Leading sourcing strategy and manage strategic vendor relationships, including RFPs and performance reviews.
- Collaborating with partners to deliver scalable, cost-effective, and Future-ready solutions.
- Building and leading a geographically distributed team of infrastructure professionals.
- Defining and developing future skillsets and capability models for network and hosting operations.
As the Head of Technology Cloud and Network, you can be based in Brisbane or Perth, Australia.
About You
As a senior infrastructure leader your experience covers large-scale, hybrid IT/OT environments, along with network transformation, hybrid-cloud hosting, edge compute, IIOT and infrastructure-as-code. Additionally, you have proven success in managing global vendors and budgets.
With a passion for innovation and sustainability, you are mindful of your customer to improve the experience and drive productivity. You are a strategic thinker with a bias for execution, and you possess a strong commercial acumen to drive impactful business outcomes. Your previous experience in complex, matrix organisations will be advantageous and your ability to build relationships with a wide array of stakeholders will be critical.
As a leader, you have had a proven track record in leading multidisciplinary technical teams and your coaching and mentoring skills will be key strengths that you draw upon to build capability and positively impact culture. Energetic and results-orientated, you work well under pressure bringing attention to detail and an ability to meet multiple and interdependent deadlines.
A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is required, post graduate studies in the same or related field will be highly regarded.
