About the Role
We are looking for a Head of Minerals Americas Technology Operations, based in Saskatoon, Canada. The purpose of this role is to provide senior leadership to teams focused on the management, coordination, support and delivery of IT and OT services to enable effective technology use across the business Integrates plans and activities across functional boundaries to deliver a strategy for safe productivity. This role reports to the Vice President Technology, Minerals Americas
Key Accountabilities:
- Safety - meet statutory and organizational health, safety, environment and sustainability requirements
- Knows our customer and is obsessed with meeting their needs.
- Ensures strategic relationships with Asset and Functional Teams building strategic cross-functional business processes to support the effective execution of service delivery
- Ensuring that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices (including security) are in place and applied
- Maintain stability and performance of critical Min America OT systems; Control Systems, Site WiFi/Networks, CCTV, Digital Radio, Auto Haulage and Drills and critical Production applications supporting Safety, Fixed Plant, Mobile Fleet and Supply Chain
- Technology health monitoring, incident and event management (TROC) delivering effective and timely responses to service requests, resolves incidents/problems
- Accountability for Maintenance strategy and execution
- Continuous improvement to eliminate defects, maximize Mean Time Between Failures and Minimize Mean Time to Restore
- Asset Integrity including Life-cycle management and Blueprint Integrity
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Deep experience in senior/management IT/OT operational role.
- Ability to effectively lead large matrix teams including third-party vendors.
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve and continually drive improvement.
- Manage a large number of inputs and effectively prioritise high value-added / high risk issues for attention.
- Relevant undergraduate qualifications in a technical discipline, preferably Engineering or Technology/IT.
- Experience in Safety Leadership in the Mining, Resource or Manufacturing Industries.
- Proven experience in Problem solving and understanding root causes.
- Experience in the implementation and safe operational support of mission critical solutions in large scale environments and organizations preferably Mining / Resources.
- Good understanding of safe maintenance processes, and the maturity levels of a maintenance organisation.
- Strong experience with contractor management and performance management.
- Experience in developing and managing to budget.
- Advance English Level
In addition, will be an advantage if has:
- Relevant Post Graduate qualifications, in a leadership or technical discipline.
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and lead people, employing appropriate management styles.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
