About our role


BHP is seeking experienced High Voltage Electrical Supervisors to help shape the future of mining at Mining Area C, our flagship iron ore operation in the Pilbara. This is a unique opportunity in a dynamic environment, spearheading the deployment of cutting-edge technology, including Komatsu 930E haul trucks, Komatsu 1850 wheel loaders, and autonomous haulage systems (AHS), while driving BHP’s commitment to safety, sustainability, and operational excellence.

 

The role will be offered on a fly-in fly-out basis from Perth, working on our soon to be introduced 7 days on, 7 nights on, 14 days off roster.

About You

 

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:


• Leadership Experience: In a mining or heavy industry environment.
• Technical Expertise: Qualifications in Electrical Trade or Engineering, with High Voltage Switching Certification.
• Operational Knowledge: Experience working with large-scale mobile mining equipment, such as Komatsu 930E haul trucks or 1850 loaders, is highly desirable.
• Safety Leadership: A track record of championing safety initiatives, critical risk management, and fostering a culture of trust and accountability.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot complex electrical systems while ensuring efficient and sustainable outcomes.
• Collaborative Mindset: Interpersonal skills and a commitment to working collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
