About the role  

 

Nickel West is currently looking to engaged with Dump Truck, Ancillary and Excavator Operators, who have production experience in an open-pit mining environment.

 

Experience operating two or more of the following pieces of equipment is highly regarded:

 

  • Excavators - Liebherr 9200, 994/9400, 996/9600, Terex O&K RH340
  • Hitachi 3600, 5600, Cat6040, Cat6040
  • CAT D10 or D11 - Track Dozers
  • Loaders - 1 CAT 992, 980M, 930H
  • Wheel Dozer - 854K
  • Graders - CAT 16H, 18M, 16M & 24M
  • Small excavators & rock-breakers - CAT325, CAT 349
  • Haul Trucks - CAT 793 & 785
  • Komatsu 830e/930e, Terex 4400

 

About you

You will report to a Production Supervisor, and will demonstrate the following:

 

  • You will have an overriding commitment to health, safety and the environment;  
  • You will be self-motivated and driven to succeed;  
  • You work well in a team, are a good communicator and have the ability to work autonomously;  
  • You enjoy work outdoors and are comfortable undertaking a range of activities in your day-to-day role;  
  • You have experience in the development and following of plans;  
  • It will be a role requirement that you have a current drivers licence;
