About the Role


About IROC 


Perth City Square is home to BHP Iron Ore’s state-of-the-art Integrated Remote Operations Centre (IROC).  Our Control Centre operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week using advanced, real-time technology to enable visibility and control, across the entire Iron Ore supply chain.  


As a technology enabled centre of excellence, IROC employees work collaboratively with site on a shift-to-shift basis to make faster decisions improving safety and optimising value across the supply chain.

Position 


As a Trainee Controller we encourage hands on experience within our IROC Control Team.  This allows you to take ownership for the safety of our people in the field, achieving production targets, by enabling the effective operation of day to day job specific requirements. 


These opportunities do not require you to have previous experience as full training will be provided to successful candidates. 


We are looking for highly motivated individuals to join the IROC Control team within BHP with the ability to work in a high-pressure fast-moving environment. You will be learning from experienced professionals firsthand, helping you to jump start your career within BHP. As a trainee you will be required to manage stress and work methodically to achieve the desired results.  Someone who is willing to follow direction, rules and procedures whilst showing initiative and searching for continuous improvement within the Control team. 


Generous packages including base salary, allowances and superannuation. 

Lifestyle Roster


This position will work on our Lifestyle Roster, working a pattern of days and nights, with a block of days off at the end of each swing.  


Employees on this roster enjoy working 14 shifts over a 28 day period.  They work a combination of days and nights which include being off 2 out of 4 weekends.

•    Great communication skills both verbal and written.  
•    The ability to foster a teamwork atmosphere
•    Strong computer skills and knowledge
