About the Role:
One of Australia's largest mines and a complex minerals processing operation, Olympic Dam, is unique in that we produce Copper, Uranium, Gold and Silver. The local township of Roxby Downs is an active and progressive community offering a variety of modern, well-equipped housing, educational, health, sporting, leisure, shopping and cultural facilities.
The Olympic Dam Mine Data team provides essential data in order to forecast, plan and track the performance outputs of the Mine. The role requires high levels of attention to detail and accuracy. Large volumes of data is processed daily.
Location: Olympic Dam, South Australia (FIFO, or Residential options available)
Roster: 7 days on; 7 days off

In The Role You Will:
- Enter in large volumes of data daily through the BHP Data base.
- Complete scheduled tasks in a timely manner with appropriate prioritisation of work.
- Provide administrative support to the Mine Data Team including sorting, scanning, digitally filing and shredding.
- Provide assistance to and participate in projects and tasks directed by Olympic Dam’s Mine Data Team.
- Explore processes and improvement opportunities.
- Check, edit and manipulate data in an Excel.
About You:
- Strong written communication and computer skills, particularly in using Microsoft Office programs especially with EXCEL spreadsheets
- Demonstrates a positive attitude with a commitment to excellent customer service
- A team player that is able to maintain effective working relationships within own team and customers
- Exposure to BHP systems e.g. Centric, CITEOPS and understand BHP Operating system (BOS) is advantageous but not mandatory.
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills.
- Previous data entry experience will be highly regarded.
