About the Role

 

Reporting to Lead Integrity and Superintendent Reliability, as Integrity Engineer - Pressure Equipment, you will be required to provide technical integrity support and sustainable solutions for the broader operations and engineering community for our Olympic Dam Mine. You will ensure compliance to all relevant Australian Standards and regulatory requirements, whilst also applying engineering principles, tools, and techniques to identify and prioritise the major risk to safety or production loss/high-cost contributors for the process plant equipment across our Olympic Dam operations. You will interface with a diverse group of stakeholders and departments where you will need to be able to demonstrate your problem solving ability and influencing skills to identify right-fix solutions and support the ongoing integrity of the operations.

 

This role is available in multiple roster options including residential in Roxby Downs (5/2 roster) and FIFO from Adelaide (5/2:4/3 Roster).

 

In this role you will:

 

  • Develop and maintain Pressure Equipment Integrity Management Plans across the asset lifecycle
  • Ensure compliance with Australian Standards, WHS legislation, and internal engineering standards
  • Manage design verification, plant and design registrations, including regulator submissions
  • Perform fitness for service assessments and review Risk Based Inspections (RBI) to determine remaining life and inspection intervals
  • Provide integrity advice and CAPEX input to support safe life of asset planning
  • Maintain the pressure equipment register supporting Major Hazard Facility (MHF) licensing and compliance reporting
  • Develop inspection scopes and repair strategies aligned to damage mechanisms
  • Support and review in service inspections and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) results, monitoring corrosion and degradation trends
  • Align integrity activities with forward maintenance and inspection planning
  • Provide technical assurance for pressure relief systems, ensuring protection against credible overpressure scenarios
  • Support relief scenario assessments in line with API 521 and AS 4343, working with Process Safety
  • Lead or support failure investigations, managing remediation to restore safe and compliant operation
  • Provide engineering support for repairs, modifications, and replacements
  • Participate in project reviews, HAZOPs, MoC, RCAs, and process safety activities
  • Maintain accurate engineering and statutory documentation and complete monthly pressure equipment compliance reviews
  • Review inspector reports and manage maintenance and critical work deferrals

 

 

About You

 

You will have:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Materials, or equivalent discipline)
  • Experience working in an operations, manufacturing, or engineering consulting environment
  • Demonstrated experience with pressure equipment integrity, inspection, and compliance
  • Working knowledge of Australian pressure equipment standards and regulatory requirements
  • Ability to work collaboratively with operations, maintenance, projects, and process safety teams
  • Ideally, though not mandatory, you will also have:
  • Experience with pressure equipment such as pressure relief devices, heat exchangers, and boilers.
  • Familiar with AS/NZS 3788, AS 1210, AS 4343, API 521, and AS/NZS 1200.
  • Ability to perform Fitness for Service assessments
