About the Role:
This internship supports the GBS EAS Operations team within Enterprise & Asset Operations (GBS EAS). The role contributes to the effective coordination of business activities, leadership reporting, stakeholder communications, operational planning and continuous improvement initiatives across the EAS Operations portfolio.
You will work closely with the EAS Operations leadership team to support reporting, business coordination, communications, digital solutions and governance activities. This role provides exposure to business operations, leadership engagement, data analytics and process improvement within a global resources organisation.
The internship is designed to provide meaningful workplace experience and help build practical business, communication and professional skills that will prepare you for a successful transition into the workforce.
Key Accountabilities:
Business Operations & Coordination
- Support the coordination of EAS Operations activities, meetings, workshops and leadership forums.
- Assist with scheduling, meeting coordination and management of team deliverables.
- Maintain action trackers, reporting schedules and follow-up items to support operational effectiveness.
- Support planning and organisation of team events, engagement activities and leadership routines.
- Assist in coordinating information, updates and priorities across the EAS Operations team.
- Prepare meeting materials, presentations and reporting packs for leadership discussions and governance activities.
Reporting & Analytics
- Assist in preparing operational, leadership and performance reports.
- Support collection, validation and analysis of business data from multiple sources.
- Maintain dashboards, reporting tools and performance trackers to support decision making.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of Power BI reports and data visualisation solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve reporting processes, data quality and reporting efficiency.
Communications & Engagement
- Assist with preparing leadership communications, newsletters and team updates.
- Support development of presentation materials, communication content and engagement campaigns.
- Coordinate information gathering for business updates and leadership communications.
- Contribute to initiatives that strengthen communication, collaboration and team engagement across EAS Operations.
Digital & Continuous Improvement
- Support business improvement initiatives aimed at simplifying and enhancing ways of working.
- Assist with process documentation, standardisation activities and maintenance of team resources.
- Contribute to digital and automation opportunities using Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI and AI-enabled tools.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives that improve team performance and business outcomes.
Learning & Development
- Gain exposure to a variety of operational functions across Enterprise & Asset Operations.
- Learn how governance, reporting, operational planning and performance management are applied within a large global organisation.
- Undertake special projects aligned to business priorities and personal development objectives.
- Explore different career pathways across business operations, analytics, digital solutions and functional support disciplines.
About You:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Management, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Engineering, Communications, Project Management or a related discipline.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Highly organised and able to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to work.
- Comfortable working with data, reports and business information.
- Curious, proactive and eager to learn in a professional environment.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Confident using Microsoft Office applications including Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
- Interest in business operations, reporting, analytics, communications or continuous improvement.
- Passion for learning, innovation and digital ways of working.
Desirable
- Exposure to Power BI, Power Platform or data visualisation tools.
- Experience gained through university projects, student leadership activities or extracurricular initiatives.
- Interest in business operations, digital technologies, project coordination or process improvement.
- Available to commence in October or November 2026.
