About the Role
Reporting to the Reward Operations Manager, the HR Reward Lead will lead, develop & manage the performance of the Reward Operations team in Manila to ensure timely and accurate execution of global reward (Rem&Ben) operational activities, in line with the Global Business Services (GBS) Ops Plan, Group Level Documents, Standard Operating Procedures and legislation.
The HR Reward Lead will also have the opportunity to:
- Manage, motivate, coach and develop a team of remuneration & benefit specialists to deliver world class service against performance targets to ensure service delivery is compliant, timely and customer-focussed whilst maintaining operational discipline. Supports the team with prioritising workload and requests.
- Develop and enable Reward Operations team members through leadership and effective performance management. Support organisational change through effective change management with the team.
- Provide specialist technical subject matter expertise in the area of reward & benefits including remuneration, incentive and benefit plans and processes, external market movements, superannuation and pension plans, and recognition programs.
- Support the Reward Operations team with resolving complex employee remuneration and benefit queries and be the point of escalation for the business on service delivery and compliance issues.
- Produce and analyse relevant reports on operational and management Key Performance Indicators where required.
- Monitor, govern and ensure alignment and compliance with internal controls including the Operational Plan, Group Level Documents, agreements, systems, standards and procedures, and legislative compliance. Ensure that Reward & Benefit processes and standards are maintained.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives. Proactively seek opportunities to simplify, remove duplication and minimise hand-offs to enhance standardisation and efficiency.
- Identify risks and provide input into mitigations and action planning. Ensure Risk Management protocols are incorporated into operational activities
- Maintain good working relationships with peers within the BHP HR community (HRBP’s, HR Operations, Sub-Function SMEs) and liaise with external statutory organisations as required.
- Support the Manager Reward Operations as required.
About You
- Degree or equivalent education required
- Experience with the management and understanding of incentive plans, bonus pooling and relevant remuneration and benefit processes
- Extensive technical experience in remuneration and benefit programs as well as strong people management (directly or indirectly) in a global company.
- Excellent communication skills, high attention to detail, and strong analytical skills.
- Fluent in English, both verbal and written
- Strong in coaching, risk assessment, project planning, problem solving, workforce planning, and resource planning
- Experience working in a shared services environment
- Strong in process management
- Experience managing teams to support delivery/execution of global reward activities and initiatives
- Deep technical expertise in remuneration and benefit programs, including ability to think conceptually, analyse, problem solve and drive practical solutions
- Promote a culture of innovation, learning and development and continuous improvement with the team.
- Ability to influence others to achieve desired outcomes, including being able to work with people across all levels of the organisation (administrators to Vice Presidents) and cross-culturally as part of a global team
