About the Role

 

This role leads the day-to-day delivery of People Logistics services across Enterprise Asset Services, with accountability for team performance, service quality, and continuous improvement.

Operating at the centre of our global delivery model, you will coordinate across customers, stakeholders, and delivery teams to ensure reliable, efficient, and customer-focused outcomes—while building a strong, engaged team and lifting capability over time.

 

Key Accountabilities:

 

1. Delivery & Operational Performance (core of the role)

  • Own end-to-end delivery of People Logistics services across assigned regions
  • Translate customer demand into clear team priorities and daily execution plans
  • Maintain service quality, timelines, and accuracy across high-volume workflows
  • Identify and remove delivery bottlenecks, improving flow and turnaround
  • Monitor performance and drive actions using data and operational insights

 

2. Team Leadership & Capability

  • Lead, coach, and develop a Manila/KL-based delivery team
  • Provide regular, clear feedback and build capability through structured coaching
  • Create a safe, inclusive environment where team members speak up and perform at their best
  • Manage workload, capacity, and prioritisation to respond to demand fluctuations

3. Stakeholder & Customer Interface

Act as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders (Ops, Projects, Customers)

  • Proactively understand customer needs and adjust delivery accordingly
  • Manage expectations through clear, consistent communication
  • Work closely with partners to solve issues and improve outcomes end-to-end

 

4. Continuous Improvement & Standardisation

  • Drive improvements in processes, tools, and ways of working
  • Embed standard work and consistent practices across the team
  • Lead problem-solving on recurring issues using root cause thinking
  • Support transition activities and scaling of new work into Manila/KL

 

5. Risk, Compliance & Discipline

  • Ensure delivery is aligned to BHP risk and control frameworks
  • Identify operational risks early and implement mitigation actions
  • Maintain strong discipline in execution, data quality, and process adherence

 

About You

 

  • Experience leading teams in a shared services / operations / logistics / workforce environment
  • Strong day-to-day operational leadership (prioritisation, workload management, execution)
  • Proven ability to manage stakeholders and deliver to customer expectations
  • Experience driving process improvement and standardisation
  • Strong problem-solving capability with a focus on fixing root causes
  • Drives process improvement and standardization using BOS, applying root cause problem-solving to sustain performance
  • Exposure to People Logistics, workforce planning, scheduling, or travel/logistics coordination
  • Experience working across global or multi-region teams (Australia + Asia)
  • Familiarity with structured operating systems (e.g., BOS)
  • Comfort using data and dashboards (e.g., Power BI) to manage performance
