About the Role

 

We are currently seeking motivated and highly experienced personnel to join the Copper Coal Asset Projects team.

 

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will lead a team of project information management personnel to deliver project outcome. The PIM Lead works to ensure project requirements across both Coal and Copper project portfolios are planned, delivered, and communicated across all stakeholders, service providers, and project life-cycle phases, through to Handover to Operations.  The role requires a high-level understanding of Information Management process and the ability to translate this into effective and fit for purpose practices.

Accountabilities:

  • Responsible for the management of Information Management activities across all MAP Copper and Coal Asset Projects portfolio and to ensure transition of engineering systems and data from projects to Operations
  • Liaise and engage with our Global Business Service teams and be responsible for escalations of any service issues
  • Collaborate with Operational teams to optimise EIM standards, procedures and processes and involvement in continous improvements initiatives 
  • Lead the Project Information Management team (Adelaide and Brisbane based resources)
  • Develop team capabilities through effective leadership and training to provide solid development plans and a robust succession pipeline of identified talent
  • Ensure adherence to standards across all projects
  • Effective and cohesive problem solving and decision making across project information management responsibilities
  • Put measures in place to ensure a quality service is delivered by the Specialist(s) Project Information Management
  • Provide guidance and training to internal stakeholders and teams managing ESPs/Vendors in document management processes and systems
  • Actively involved with the MAP (Mineral Australia Project) Information Management initiative on behalf of the Technical Manager
  • Coordinate cross-area meetings, information, reporting, issue resolution, plus other team deliverables as directed by the Technical Manager
  • Ensure early identification and escalation of emerging technical issues.

About You

 

As a successful candidate you will possess the following:

 

  • Demonstrated relevant experience of 10+ years  within a relevant technical field with knowledge of engineering information management as part of Operations, Projects and/or Engineering industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of deliverable management throughout the project lifecycle, with exposure / proficiency in Aconex and Smart Plant desired, but not required
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and leading change in a challenging and complex environment
  • Relationship management capability inclusive of successfully influencing and leading successful change in a challenging and complex environment
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills, proactive identification of issues and the ability to influence decision making.

 

Location: This role is based either in Adelaide or Brisbane on a Monday-Friday roster. This role will also involve some interstate or site travel as required
