About the Role

 

Lead and manage a small team focused on ensuring timely and quality support for Group Risk, Insurance & Audit (GRIA) Data Analytics products and processes. Coaches and develops the team to deliver outcomes/KPI’s aligned with key stakeholders through high performance underpinned by BOS practices and BHP Values. You will also participate in data analytics activities to support specific Internal Audits, and delivery of technical data analytics activities, with considerations of balancing capacity and demand of the role’s people management responsibilities. 

 

  • Ensure that the GRIA Data Analytics activities are performed in a timely and accurate manner in accordance with KPI’s and outcomes aligned with GRIA stakeholders in accordance with the Partnership Agreement (PA) and BHP Risk framework. For GRIA data analytics the primary scope of works include; dashboard development and maintenance, internal audit data analytics support and report automation requests.
  • Ensure strong operational management by leading and coaching the team, leveraging BOS practices and BHP Values, to ensure delivery of target KPI’s and outcomes.  Establishes strong WILO and BOS routines (MOP, MIP, Capacity & Demand, PPS, PTCs, etc) for the team.
  • Lead and enable the team in accordance with BHP Values and Code of Conduct through strong and clear cascade of plans, managing health and wellbeing. Also setting clear individual expectations KPI’s used to evaluate and manage performance, and formulating development plans with the team to ensure required competencies are worked on and enabled (both technical and non-technical) to perform their roles.  This is evidenced by strong EPS scores and wellbeing measures of the team.
  • Where capacity allows, delivery of technical data analytics activities for the GRIA function, supporting further value creation from the team that this role leads. This will also enable coverage for the team with planned and unplanned leave.

 

About You

 

  • Global Business Services work experience, preferably with exposure to areas of Risks, Controls and Governance framework
  • Has People Leader / Team Lead experience
  • Excellent communications and stakeholder engagement.
  • Degree in Business / Finance or equivalent
  • Case Management and Reporting
  • Snowflake and Power BI capability
  • SAP and Risk (GRC) systems knowledge
  • Audit (AMS) system knowledge
  • Certification in User Experience design
