Location: Prominent Hill, South Australia (60-minute flight from Adelaide / 30-minute flight from Port Augusta)
Roster: 8 days on; 6 days off / 4 days on; 3 days off
Department: Technical Services

In This Role You Will:

  • Lead a team of mine scheduling engineers to deliver safe and accurate mine schedules from 24 months to weekly time horizons.
  • Manage the Quarterly forecast in alignment with LOA and budget requirements.
  • Support integration of the PHOX project schedule into the mine schedules.
  • Work with all stakeholders to ensure schedules meets requirements, with rates and assumptions used in Quarterly forecast agreed upon.
  • Provide compliance to plan reporting to site and corporate leadership teams.
  • Effectively communicate the mine schedule to all stakeholders.
  • Identify schedule critical paths, risks and opportunities.
  • Keep the mine scheduling MOS up to date and continually look for opportunities to improve.
  • Provide training and mentoring to mining engineers on use of Deswik SCH and scheduling concepts.
  • Ensure scheduling priorities are achieved in a safe and efficient manner.

About You:

  • Significant experience working in underground, hard rock, metalliferous mining.
  • Mine scheduling experience in a sub-level open stoping mine.
  • UG practical experience highly regarded.
  • Proven experience in mine design in sub-level open stoping.
  • Proven experience leading a team of Engineers to deliver safe production.
  • Motivated and self-directed.
  • Ability to work in high pressure and dynamic environments.
  • Actively promote safe production.
  • High level of experience with Deswik.IS software.
