Purpose


The Lead Workplace Technology will lead a team focused on the management and support of local and remote workplace technologies, services and vendors across North America (e.g. ServiceDesk, local Tech Hub’s). 

About the Role


In this role you will:

• Deliver effective and timely responses to service requests, resolves incidents/problems and manages the Technology service catalogue. 

• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of Workplace Technology services across North America.

• Conduct data analysis, performance monitoring, and root cause analysis to identify trends, patterns, and areas of improvement within Workplace Technology.

• Positively influence our vendors with a focus on reducing waste, maximize operational performance, improving efficiency, enhance service quality, improving the user experience and minimizing operational costs across Workplace Technology. 

• Based on BHP Operating System (BOS) methodologies, determine the underlying cause of problems and evaluates multiple solutions to ensure a planned and structured approach to solving complex problems. 

• Develop and maintain trusting and collaborative relationships with Operational and Functional teams to foster strong communication, regular feedback and continuous improvement

• Engage, know, understand and build long-term relations with our customers and clients and be obsessed with meeting their needs. 

Work Location


Downtown, Saskatoon office, with frequent travel to other BHP locations across North America. 40 hours per week. Hybrid working (flexible, shared workstations and a combination of office and work from home) is standard for BHP. 

About You

 

  • Minimum of Tertiary qualification or higher in Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline (or an equivalent level of industry experience in a large enterprise environment).
  • Minimum of ITIL Foundations certification.
  • Experience in delivering exceptional safety and operational results, along with sound cost management and forecasting knowledge.
  • Proven experience with stakeholder engagement and management for collaborative working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability along with skills and knowledge to provide critical thinking and a solution-focused attitude.
