As an Electrical and Instrumentation Leading Hand in the fixed plant maintenance team at Kwinana, you’ll be provided with the tools to work within a zero harm safety culture.  With our support, you’ll also ensure targeted plant and equipment availability. This role provides a stepping stone for someone looking to transition into a supervision role, with ample opportunities to develop your skills. 
 
You will report to the Electrical/Instrumentation Supervisor and on a daily basis your core duties will include:
 

  • Assist the Supervisor to delegate work to the team
  • Provide technical advice and support to fellow Maintenance team members
  • Identify correct parts and equipment for all planned and unplanned work
  • Continuously review scheduled jobs to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Avoid rework and the unnecessary use of parts and services (cost management)
  • Step up Electrical Supervisor for leave coverage
  • Actively participate in safety initiatives and systems to ensure all work is carried out safely
  • Participate in the Emergency Response Team.

 

About You

Required skills and experience:

  • Electrical Trade Qualification 
  • WA Electrical Licence 
  • Cert IV in Instrumentation
  • HV experience
  • Previous experience in a similar position in the mining industry
  • Valid WA Drivers Licence
  • EEHA Certificate (desirable)
  • High Risk Tickets EWP, Forklift (desirable)
  • Electrical In-House Nominee (desirable)
  • Emergency Response and Rescue (desirable)
